Will this be the first time that wet central heating is installed in your property?
Whether you own your own home or you’re renting, you could qualify for a grant to get it installed for free*.
If your home doesn’t already have a central heating system, or you have a system without a boiler and radiators, we can design and install one that suits your home from scratch.
We’ll help you apply for funding, install your boiler and radiators, and show you how to make the most of it.
A properly insulated home keeps the cost of your central heating down. You could qualify for free* loft insulation & cavity wall insulation. Effective Home can help you with this too.
Moving properties from electric or inefficient heating sources can help reduce your carbon footprint and help the Government’s commitment to reducing carbon emission in the UK.

"Save up to £350 on your energy bills, every year! **"
"Recently had Solar fitted, and from day one up until install I am pleased with my experience with Effective Home, I've never experienced a virtual survey before and at first I was curious about it, but it was straight forward with no hassle and want to praise the company for doing a great job! "
""I was worried that I was dealing with an "office" hundreds of miles away from me. As it transpired this was not a problem. The negotiations were formal yet friendly. The idea of having a link person who you can contact easily was a great idea. It didn't always work, particularly when I was trying to get dates settled. Once agreed, the scaffolding and solar panel completion went very well, with great guys doing the work.""
"From start to finish brilliant. From assessor to fitter. We are very happy with the work - excellent service. They said they were going to do it in a day, and they did. They did not get in the way once."
"Above and beyond! The work was done to a high standard. No extra cost, right on the quoted amount. I'm always sceptical about these sort of things, but I'm extremely happy."
"They replaced an external oil fired boiler for us - it was the first time we had used them but we would be willing to use them again as they definitely lived up to our expectations."
This will vary as it depends on the size of home and your flooring. Once we have surveyed your property, we can advise how long it will take.
If you are a homeowner or a private renter (with permission from the landlord) who receives qualifying benefits, you could be entitled to a first time central heating grant through the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), an initiative that aims to help lower the carbon footprint of homes and heating bills in the UK. Under the scheme, grants are available to help people pay for energy efficiency improvements, such as central heating systems, if your home hasn’t had one before – along with upgrades like home insulation. Visit this page to find out more.
If you live in a Housing Association home, grants are only available on properties with Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E, F or G. If you live in a rented property, grants are only available to rented properties with an EPC rating of A, B, C, D or E – along with the landlord’s permission, which is always required to complete the first time central heating and insulation grant application process. Don’t hesitate to get in touch, we are here to help.
